Mr. Ferran has served as both an advisor and Chairman and CEO for publicly and privately held companies including Tylan General and Akrion.

As co-founder of Span Instruments and later as the company's CEO, Mr. Whitson spent 20 years building a highly profitable; leading edge technology business engaged in the design and manufacture of precision measurement instrumentation for the semiconductor and industrial process control markets.

After the sale of Span Instruments to Tylan General (Nasdaq TYGN), Mr. Whitson assumed the role of Vice Chairman and Chief Administrative Officer at Tylan General and held those positions until the company was sold to Millipore (NYSE- MIL).
